Books in the pipeline
Now that A Path to Manhood is published, a look at what I'm working on next...
A handful of people have asked what I’m working on next. I’ve got three projects in the pipeline. Wanted to let you know about them. I don’t know when they will be finished. I’ve listed them here in the order of how close to ‘finished’ their first draft manuscripts are.
Water in the Desert: a coming of age novel that combines historical fiction with a cross-country treasure hunt spanning multiple generations of an American family. It’s looking to be a medium-length novel, similar in scope to Wilderness Therapy. I’m really aiming to wrap this one up within 2025 so my agent, Sheryl, can use her super powers to start shopping it to publishers.
Thick Time: Pilgrimage Journeys in the Dominican Republic and Beyond: reflections on the intersection of teaching, travel, and spiritual growth. This one will probably include some contributions by my business partner, Adam. I’m guessing it will weigh in similarly to A Path to Manhood in terms of length.
Let Go and Lock In: Encouragement and Advice for New Husbands: perspectives to help new husbands—or soon-to-be husbands—navigate the early years of marriage. Now that Megan and I are nearing our fifteenth anniversary, I figure there’s enough ground traveled to have something meaningful to say. Aiming to keep this one pretty short and to the point.
Could I ask you a favor? I really mean this. Could you please put a review on Amazon if you have read any of my books? Especially if you purchased the book on Amazon, because then it shows up at as a verified purchase.
A lot of people say they’ll do a review but few actually do. The more I learn about how the online bookselling world works, the more I understand how reviews drive the algorithms. It doesn’t have to be long. It doesn’t have to be 5 stars. Thanks in advance. Here’s a link to my Amazon author page, which links to all the books:
